Estella Truong (she/her), or Khuê, is a Vietnamese artist based between Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Massachusetts, United States, currently pursuing a B.A. in Studio Art at Mount Holyoke College along with a certificate in Arts Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She works across video, installation, and site-specific practices, creating immersive environments through moving image, sound, and spatial design.
Her work is shaped by her experience of in-betweenness, exploring themes of displacement, belonging, and the formation of identity through the relationship between body, environment, and cultural context. Drawing on personal experience, Vietnamese language, and cultural references, her practice examines how meaning shifts across different spaces. Rather than presenting fixed narratives, her work focuses on subtle, sensory experiences that unfold over time, inviting viewers to physically engage with states of uncertainty, connection, and misalignment. Throughout her college career, she has participated in solo and group exhibitions across the Mount Holyoke College campus.
