is a tunnel book inspired by Ocean Vuong’s poem Untitled (Blue, Green, and Brown), written in response to the 9/11 attacks and the loss of a friend to suicide. Vuong’s exploration of “the other side” is central to this work, represented by a window symbolizing the fragile boundary between life and death. The book’s cover, made from denim pieces cut to resemble the collapsing Twin Towers, contrasts with the calm interior, where layered pages reveal the emotional vulnerability hidden beneath. Each side of the book invites the reader to reflect on longing, memory, and the quiet promise to “stay.”

Estella Truong is a Vietnamese artist working in video, installation, and site-specific practices. Her work engages with questions of perception, environment, and lived experience, often drawing from her transnational background. She explores how meaning is shaped through spatial, cultural, and sensory conditions. She is currently pursuing a BA in Studio Art at Mount Holyoke College and a certificate in Arts Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
