Used Bandage Roll
2024

 is a soft sculpture made from quilted, discarded fabrics, embodying resistance to throwaway culture. Each fabric piece carries a story, sewn together in the shape of a bandage roll to symbolise care, repair, and sustainable design. Inspired by quilting’s roots in upcycling, this piece reflects a shift in mindset toward reusing and finding new purpose in materials that might otherwise be discarded.

Estella Truong is a Vietnamese artist working in video, installation, and site-specific practices. Her work engages with questions of perception, environment, and lived experience, often drawing from her transnational background. She explores how meaning is shaped through spatial, cultural, and sensory conditions. She is currently pursuing a BA in Studio Art at Mount Holyoke College and a certificate in Arts Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
